Aligns with the commitment to supporting the environment and instilling awareness to love the environment, Kawan Lama Group undertook the Trees for Tomorrow program from 21 December 2024 until 5 January 2025, where in this period, almost 10,000 trees were distributed to customers from Kawan Lama Group’s brand stores namely AZKO, INFORMA, Toys Kingdom, SELMA, ATARU, Pet Kingdom, and Chatime located at Living World Alam Sutera, Artha Gading Mall, Living Plaza Bintaro, Plaza IBCC Bandung, Living Plaza Ahmad Yani Bekasi, Margonda Depok, Living Plaza Cirebon, and Living World Kota Wisata Cibubur. This amount made the total number of trees distributed since the program’s first year in 2012 reached over 1 million.
Besides Trees for Tomorrow, various other green initiatives in preserving the environment were also undertaken by Kawan Lama Group, such as completing the facilities of taman kota (city park) in three cities which were Taman Kota Green Garden, West Jakarta in May 2022, Taman Kota Apsari in Surabaya, December 2022, and Taman Kota Pakui Sayang, Makassar, South Sulawesi in April 2023. Kawan Lama Group also participated in the event Tree Planting at JIEP City Forest in the Industrial Area of Pulogadung, East Jakarta, in November 2023, where at the event attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, 1,600 trees were also given. Moreover, through one of its brand, AZKO, managed by PT Aspirasi Hidup Indonesia Tbk, Kawan Lama Group also undertakes “Untuk Indonesia Bersih (For Clean Indonesia)” that collects waste, supports cleaning equipment, and gives reusable shopping bags in various cities.
