Living World Alam Sutera Provides SPKLU Facility to Support Environmental Sustainability

As support towards environmental sustainability, especially the Net Zero Emission program initiated by the government to reduce the impact of climate change, also to facilitate visitors using electric cars, Living World Alam Sutera in collaboration with PT Exelly Elektrik Indonesia (Voltron) inaugurated meresmikan public electric vehicle charging station facility (well known as SPKLU) on 30 April 2024. The SPKLU at Mal Living World Alam Sutera uses an Ultra Fast Charging DC 100 kW machine with two charging guns type CCS 2. Visitors can charge their electric cars at the ground floor parking area during mall's operating hours, 10 AM-10 PM, with a tariff of Rp2.467 per kWh.

Jannywati Hartini, Director of Living World, stated, “The collaboration we did today and in the future is our support regarding the government’s program as a token of our commitment to bring sustainable values. Hopefully, the presence of SPKLU at Living World Alam Sutera not only eases the visitors' charging of their electric cars in a fast way, but also encourages them to use green energy.”

Abdul Rahman Elly, President Director of Voltron, said, “Voltron is now focused on providing high power charging, so electric car users no longer need to worry about long waiting while charging their vehicles. The cooperation between Voltron and the property developed by Kawan Lama Group aims to positively impact the ecosystem growth of battery-based electric motorized vehicles, in line with President’s Regulation (Perpres) Number 55 Year 2019.”

Living World and Voltron, represented by  Jannywati Hartini dan Abdul Rahman Elly, also signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU), mentioning that Voltron will provide SPKLUs at various other Living World and Living Plaza locations.

On the same occasion, Eko Adji Buwono, as National Project Manager of Enhancing Readiness for the Transition to Electric Vehicles (ENTREV) from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, added, “ENTREV project is aimed to support the government and the stakeholders in preparing policy, institution, technical capacity, and innovative business model to encourage the community to switch to the battery-based electric vehicles. We must cooperate and involve all parties to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia.”

Voltron Indonesia recently has operated over 280 SPKLUs in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, Samarinda, Makassar, Yogyakarta, and Semarang. Until the end of 2024, Voltron actively builds more than 1,500 SPKLUs with charging capacities comprising AC 22kW, DC 30kW, DC 60kW, DC 100kW, and DC 200kW.

Edwin, a Living World Alam Sutera visitor, expressed his happiness while using SPKLU, “Very happy, here at Living World Alam Sutera, I found an EV charging station with fast charging ability. No need to wait for a long time. While charging, I can eat at the restaurant. Finished eating, I checked my car, and it was fully charged.”
